Impact action inserts and trims the wire simultaneously when inserting in IDC terminals as found on telephone line boxes, the BT ADSL adaptors and most professional telephony fittings, network/telecom patch panels and sockets, and all over the professional telecom world.
Set the wire in the terminal blades and press down gradually. At a preset pressure the tool head impact action triggers and completes the insertion (with a metal insertion blade), while a small cutting blade trims the excess wire off.
